Nana's Farewell Day

This past Wednesday, Kaile's school had a few little 'somthings' for Nana's leaving. They ordered pizza for lunch and there was doughnuts and cupcakes. The teacher made Nana a scrapbook with all the kids in it. It was very sweet. Then at the end, the people that brought her going away gifts were able to give it to her.

Right after storytime, I guess since the kids were already sitting together, Melissa brought out the scrapbook to show to everyone.

Kaile came to sit with me

Kaile was determined to have Nana see HER gift NOW!

There was a Hello Kitty theme going on... We didn't get her this one in the picture, but we did get her Hello Kitty stickers and we put all the gifts in a Hello Kitty bag. haha

Kaile is showing Nana's mom the card we got her that had Nana and Kaile on it. I think her mom was a little overwhelmed with everyone coming at her!

I know they made the decision to go back to Japan BEFORE the earthquake, but it just seems crazy for them to being heading there now when most people are trying to get out of Japan. Hope they have a safe trip!
